Hey everyone.
Thanks so much for your prayers and support. Today has been a very good day so far. Angie’s surgery started around 7:30 this morning and wrapped up just before noon. Everything went very well! She is now up in her room recovering with her husband by her side.
Kimberly’s surgery started around 10:30 this morning and is still ongoing. Her tracheostomy went perfect this morning. She will have the trach as long as they think necessary . . . sometime between two weeks and two months (God willing, on the shorter end of that program.) Right now, Kimberly is in surgery for the transplant . . . she should be out of surgery sometime in the next couple of hours. After surgery, Kimberly will be in recovery for a while before they transport her to her room. She may or may not need to be in ICU tonight . . . they will determine how she is doing after surgery. The size and style of trach that Kimberly will have right now will keep her from being able to talk, but we hope to downsize that trach as soon as possible.
Thanks for laboring with us in prayer! We appreciate you all so much. We will post more as soon as more info is available.
Thank you for the update, Mark. I’m praying now!
Our family has been and will continue to pray for you, josh and kimberly as well as kimberly’s sister and their whole family. Also the doctors and everyone else who is involved. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Maybe clean your yard or take ur trash can to the curb.
We’re still praying!! Thanks for the update!
We have been thinking and praying throughout today, mark and kimberly. You two are treasured vessels to us, our church and to the Lord! He’s not finished with you yet kimberly! Hang in there- He is greatest at our weakest! We love you both.
