Wildwood exists to glorify God by shining as LIGHT in our homes, our community, and the world (Matthew 5:14-16). As we begin 2010, would you join us in prayer, trusting God with accomplishing His mission through us this year? This first week of the year, we are dedicating each day to prayer for a different aspect of ministry. Today, we are highlighting prayer for our world . . . specifically praying for government leaders. 1 Timothy 2 instructs us to pray for those in authority over us, including kings and rulers. We will take that direction and pray for the United States, Oklahoma, and local government today. Please use this as a prompt in prayer today!
- Pray for the local leadership in the city of Norman. Pray for our Mayor, City Council, School Board, fire and police departments, etc. asking God to bless them and give them wisdom in providing leadership to our city.
- Pray for the leadership of the state of Oklahoma. Pray for our Governor, State Representatives and Senators, and policy shapers that they would have wisdom in providing direction to Oklahoma.
- Pray for the leadership of our nation. Pray for the President, Vice President, Senators, Representatives, Judges, Military, etc. Pray that they would have wisdom in governing.
- Overall, pray that Christ’s light would shine brighter in the hearts of all governing authorities.
