- What are some of the things in this world that are scary or dangerous to others? What is scary or feels dangerous to you?
- The disciples lose all perspective as the boat begins to sink in the midst of the storm. Can you think of any examples from your own life when you felt like you were on a “sinking ship”? Was it difficult to maintain a good perspective in the midst of the storm?
- When in the midst of the storms of life, have you ever been tempted to try to control the circumstance, escape through distraction, or find someone to blame?
- What are some ways you can remember “whose boat you are in” when the storms of life settle in?
- What are examples from your life or the lives of others you know of seeing faith in God shine while enduring a storm?
- What stands out to you most from this message? Any particular takeaway?
