This is Wildwood is back!! And this week, we are talking about eternity. Hebrews 9:27 says that it is appointed for men to die once, and after that the judgment. This is the only life that we have, our souls are eternal, and all humans will either spend an eternity in heaven, or an eternity in hell. There are no other options. And only those who are in Christ will be eternally saved. Where is your soul headed? Are you in Christ? Have you repented and believed the gospel of Jesus Christ? As you listen to this podcast, consider the things discussed with great care.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” As Christians, we have a real enemy who wants to devour us. John 10:10 says, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” This enemy that we have wants to devour, deceive and destroy us, our relationships, our marriages, our families, our church and this entire world. Though we have this ancient foe, 1 John 4:4 says, “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Do not fear, He who is in us, is greater than he who is in the world. “For still our ancient foe, Doth seek to work us woe His craft and power are great, And armed with cruel and hate, On earth is not his equal.” (A Mighty Fortress is Our God) Join us this week as we talk about Satan and how we as Christians, by the power of the Holy Spirit can stand against him.

Hebrews 7:25 says, “Consequently, He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Praise the LORD, that Jesus is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him! Join us this week as we talk about the final aspect of our salvation in the doctrine of glorification. To Him be the praise and glory forever and ever.

This week we continue in our series walking through the doctrinal statement! Over the past couple of weeks we have walked through different aspects of salvation: justification and adoption. This week, we look at sanctification with Pastor John Abernethy. May the doctrine of sanctification both encourage and strengthen you in you faith and walk with the LORD. If you are a believer in Christ, the Bible teaches that you are already sanctified (definitive sanctification), but that our sanctification is a present-on going reality as we are sanctified more and more and renewed day by day. Join us as we learn about the doctrine of sanctification in the Christian life!
