At Wildwood, we desire for all to be growing in their faith in God and love for others.  One of the ways Jesus tends to grow us in these areas is when we follow Him into worship.  At Wildwood there are a number of teams around the church that guide us into worship.  One of those teams is our WSM Worship Team, a collection of amazing Middle School and High School students who help lead our student ministry in worship each Wednesday night.  On today’s episode of the podcast, we hear more of how God is at work in and through this team.

Care Pastor John Abernethy and Chad Riopelle

Wildwood is For the Church Following Jesus together to the glory of God. The programming we do as a church family is designed to help each of us follow Christ in a deeper way.  One of the programs that have to help fathers connect with their children as they help them follow Christ are our Father/Son and Father/Daughter campouts.  In today’s episode we hear from Care Pastor John Abernethy (who oversees our campout ministry) and Wildwood member Chad Riopelle who share a story of how God has been at work through these events.

As we follow Jesus as a church, one important thing for us always to remember is the dependence we have upon Christ.  One of the most tangible expressions of our dependence upon Him is through prayer.  Prayer is an important part of our relationship with God and our life as a church here at Wildwood.  On today’s episode of the podcast, we interview Natalie (a 7th grader) along with her Student Ministry Leader Ann Marie Hubbard and our Student Ministry Associate Ciera Morren to talk about how Natalie applied what she heard at the most recent “Rooted” Girls Ministry event by praying for her Volleyball team.  Check it out!

Hanging out with John Carswell from Compassion International on today’s episode.

At Wildwood we are “For the Nations” following Jesus together with us to the glory of God.  The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is truly GREAT, and requires us to work together with many partners as we live out it’s calling.  One of the partnerships Wildwood has in world missions is Compassion International.  Wildwood has helped fund a church plant in Lagoa de Sao Francisco, Brazil in partnership with Compassion, and Wildwood members have sponsored 200 children who live in this community!  On today’s episode, I catch up with John Carswell who works with Compassion helping forge church partnerships.

Some of Wildwood’s Worship Team after practice one Wednesday night.

We believe that one of the ways that God grows our faith in Him and our love for others is through worship.  Worship Pastor Greg Hill summarizes a definition of worship as, “Responding to all that God is with all that we are.”  This includes so many aspects of our relationship with Him – including obedience, giving, etc. . . . but it certainly includes singing.  At Wildwood, we are so blessed to have a worship team that devotes hours each week to lead us into worship together.  On today’s episode, we get to hear from a number of the members of this worship team – including Pastor Greg Hill, Susan Storm, Adam Shockley, and Diane Nutt – about how worship plays a big role in their lives.

At Wildwood, we are FOR THE CHURCH following Jesus together to the glory of God.   By this, we mean that we desire Wildwood members to develop and mature in their faith TOGETHER.  We do not have many congregations here, but one congregation, where many generations follow Jesus together.  On today’s episode, we hear how two Wildwood members are experiencing life in the multi-generational church through the “Adopt-a-Sooner” program.  To tell this story, we are joined by College Ministry Associate Naomi Reyes,  and Wildwood members Laura Horstkoetter and Sarah Marcus.
