Well, VBS week is nearly here at Wildwood! I LOVE this week every year. It is a tangible expression and celebration of our investment in being FOR the Church, For the Community, For the Nations, and For the Next Generation following Jesus together to the glory of God. What a blessing!
- We are “For the Church” in that VBS is a discipleship vehicle for the 300 Wildwood members who serve and use their gifts during this week.
- We are “For the Community” as we welcome countless new families into our building for one amazing week.
- We are “For the Nations” as we take up an offering all week long during VBS to help provide water filters and playground equipment for our church partner in Lagoa de Sao Francisco, Brazil.
- We are “For the Next Generation” as we invest in 0ver 700 young people who are a part of VBS this year.
Our VBS this year focuses around the theme “Look: God of Wonders.” During this week we will see how our WONDER-FULL God is revealed in the world around us. This Sunday at Wildwood (June 2) we will be kicking off VBS week in our worship services, as I preach a message guiding us into Psalm 19. Join us in our 9:45 or 11:00 worship service as we examine this concept together.
